FIAPS Subscriber registration

Forest Industry Assessment Plan System Subscription Agreement FIAPS assessment materials are developed and maintained by ForestWorks on behalf of the Forest and Forest Products Industry. FIAPS is an initiative that aims to set and maintain consistent, industry-agreed minimum standards of assessment. By subscribing to FIAPS you and your organisation make a commitment to maintain the integrity of the assessment process, and to contribute to consistent and high quality assessments by ensuring that: 1. The subscribing organisation has the capacity to meet the conditions of this Subscription Agreement as outlined below, and is: a) An enterprise whose normal business activities involve skills that are covered by the Forest and Forest Products Industry Training Package.* b) A RTO that provides training and assessment services to the Industry and has FPI05 qualifications or units on its scope of registration.* 2. Assessors and their supporting organisations behave in an ethical manner, in keeping with the spirit and the goals of FIAPS; 3. The conduct of all assessments adheres to the minimum standards identified in the current version of FIAPS assessment plans and recording tools. This responsibility extends to part-time or casual assessors employed by the subscriber, or workplace-based assessors engaged under auspicing arrangements. 4. All full-time assessors have the opportunity to participate in FIAPS moderation activities or other professional development; 5. The integrity of FIAPS is protected by ensuring that assessment materials are not distributed to or used by unauthorised parties who are not members of FIAPS; 6. The organisation makes a genuine contribution to the continuous improvement of FIAPS assessment materials, by participating in moderation activities and providing feedback on tools used in the field. 7. Assessments are conducted by qualified assessors in accordance with the requirements set out under the Australian Quality Training Framework. 8. The organisation will provide annually to ForestWorks the current contact details of all assessors using FIAPS assessment materials. ForestWorks reserves the right to check that conditions of use are being met and to withdraw the right to use FIAPS materials where these conditions are breached. * ForestWorks may, at its discretion; offer subscription to training organisations lacking a history of involvement with the Industry provided the organisation: - is able to provide evidence of substantial industry support for its activities, and - demonstrates that its client(s) require(s) quality, nationally recognised assessment outcomes, and - demonstrates knowledge of the Industry or relevant sector(s) and has assessment staff experienced in the work being assessed, and - will not be offering services that are already available at a high quality and at competitive rates.
