About FIAPS

What is FIAPS?

The Forest Industry Assessment Plan System (FIAPS) is a subscription service initiated and maintained by ForestWorks as part of our commitment to improve industry's capacity to develop and sustain a skilled workforce.

FIAPS membership is available to all training providers and enterprises that use the Forest and Forest Products Industry Training Package FPI05. By subscribing to FIAPS your organisation will help to  provide reliable and consistent training and assessment outcomes to agreed industry standards.

As a  FIAPS subscriber you are part of a national network of providers and enterprises committed to upholding the highest standards of skills development for our industry.

Benefits for organisations that subscribe to FIAPS:

  • FIAPS is an on-going service and not a one-off product. Your organisation belongs to a national network of leading forest industry trainers and assessors
  • subscribers share the cost and effort required to develop and maintain comprehensive assessment materials. Tools have been developed for all units of competence in the training package.
  • subscribers receive a regular newsletter and have access to professional development activities via an online forum, an annual conference, and moderation workshops
  • FIAPS tools are national and industry-validated. New versions are continually developed based on user feedback.
  • You can choose a subscription plan that complements your organisation's business and get ready access to the number of assessment plans you require
  • give your organisation a competitive edge. ForestWorks will promote and support FIAPS member organisations as committed to supporting quality, professional and ethical assessments in industry
  • all tools are in MS Word format, making it easy for sites to customise assessment tools to client requirements (within the guidelines) and add your organisation's badging alongside the FIAPS logo

Note: copyright of the assessment materials remains with ForestWorks and permission to use the tools expires if your subscription is not renewed.
